Our Mission:

The philosophy of the Fort Mojave Child Care Center is to enhance and improve the quality of the lives of families by offering a safe childcare option to parents, understanding it is necessary for the parents to be given the opportunity to pursue education, job training, employment or counseling. Therefore, the Fort Mojave Child Care Center will provide a safe and secure environment for the children during the time the parents are in pursuit of their goals. The Child Care Center will provide the children experiences which promote: 1) the individual child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth and well-being; 2) both active and passive learning experiences which promote the development of skills, social competence, self-esteem and positive self identity; and 3) learning experiences conducted in consultation with parents in order to ensure harmony with the life style and the cultural background of the children.

    • Description text goes hereThe center administers the Fort Mojave Child Care Developmental Fund (CCDF) Program, offering child care subsidy assistance to eligible Fort Mojave Indian Tribal members. This assistance helps parents who are working, attending job training, or educational programs by reducing their child care costs.

    • The eligibility criteria for child care services include parents who are working or attending job training or educational programs. This support encourages parents to pursue education and employment opportunities, ultimately improving the economic well-being of the tribal community.

    • The center's learning experiences are conducted in consultation with parents to ensure they align with the child's lifestyle and cultural background. This cultural sensitivity helps preserve and celebrate the tribal community's heritage and values.

    • The center hosts events such as the K.I.D.S. FAIR, Parent Events, and the Week of the Young Child. These events promote community engagement, foster parent-child relationships, and create a sense of belonging within the tribal community.

    • With hours from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, the center provides accessibility and flexibility for working parents, making it easier for them to balance work and family life.
