Our Mission:

Realty Department management is to promote leasing and permitting of reservation lands to bring about maximum return for such commensurate with applicable land use restrictions and in the best interest of Indian landowners and the Tribe. To provide assistance to individual members and the Tribe in negotiations and advertisement of agricultural/residential lands to obtain the highest and best use.

Services Available:

  • Promote Assistance for utility hook-up to new/current Tribal Members

  • Promote safe and sanitary disposal service for the community needs to achieve full satisfaction with all customers

  • Promote residential living on Tribal land for Tribal Members

  • Promote advertising for the general public on Tribal lands

  • Promote commercial, Tribal owned business and agriculture leasing

  • Prepare Leases and Title status reports for recording purposes

Objectives:

  • Maximize Revenue and Optimize Land Use: Strategically manage and lease reservation lands to generate the highest possible revenue while adhering to applicable land use restrictions. Conduct comprehensive land use analyses to identify and pursue the most beneficial uses for each parcel of land.

  • Enhance Economic Development Opportunities: Foster economic growth and diversification by attracting and supporting businesses that align with the Tribe's economic development goals. Actively promote investment opportunities and streamline permitting processes to facilitate business development on the reservation.

  • Protect Tribal Interests and Landowner Rights: Ensure that all leasing and permitting agreements are in the best interests of the Tribe and individual landowners. Advocate for the protection of Tribal sovereignty and land rights in all land use transactions.

  • Ensure Community Engagement and Transparency: Maintain open communication and engagement with Tribal members throughout the land use planning and decision-making process. Provide regular updates on land use activities and seek community input on land use decisions.

  • Foster Sustainable Land Management Practices: Promote sustainable land management practices that protect the environment and preserve the natural resources of the reservation. Incorporate environmental considerations into land use decisions and encourage sustainable development practices.
