The Fort Mojave Tribal Band, established in 1906, has a rich history of nurturing musical talent within the community. At the heart of their mission is the dedication to imparting musical knowledge to both adults and children. Through personalized one-on-one instruction, individuals are guided on the art of reading music and mastering various musical instruments, fostering a deep appreciation for the world of music and its transformative power.

In the Mojave Desert by the Colorado River, the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe thrives, deeply connected to its heritage. At its core is the Fort Mojave Tribal Band, a symbol of resilience and cultural pride.

Established in 1906 amidst challenges, the band's roots lie in preserving Mojave traditions through music. Led by Albert J. Eller, the German music teacher, they began by mastering patriotic marches to showcase patriotism while upholding their cultural identity.

Expanding their repertoire to include Mojave songs and American music, the band gained renown performing at prestigious events worldwide. Their music echoes cultural pride and resilience, embodying the tribe's commitment to heritage through generations.

The Fort Mojave Tribal Band has instruction on the following instruments genres: Percussion, Brass, Woodwinds, Piano and Guitar. Instrument Instruction per genre is listed below. Staff members offer group instruction as well as one-on-one instruction to program participants.
